I always hate Amazon's book sales, because I always have to search through pages and pages of books to find the good ones. Yet, I do it time and again. Maybe you won't have to.
Fiction/Mysteries
+ Every heard of a little movie by the same title? The Godfather @ 4.32
+ The Godfather's Revenge (Hardcover) @ 5.99
+ Against the Day (Hardcover) by Thomas Pynchon @ 7.00. He's the author of the renowned Gravity's Rainbow.
+ My favorite book of all time: Life of Pi @ 8.99
+ The classic Anthem by Ayn Rand @ 4.32
+ The classic Atlas Shrugged by Ayan Rand @ 8.99
+ This collection of short stories has gotten very good reviews: The Task of This Translator @ 2.60. It seems the titled story is about a poor college student who takes a job translating for a man who's language he doesn't even speak!
+ A man ahead of his time: Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth
+ Didn't they make a movie from this one? Point Blank
+ I read some of these in high school, I think. The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell. They're about a cat who solves mysteries.
Business:
+ Who doesn't like Google? The Search: How Google and Its Rivals Rewrote the Rules of Business and Transformed Our Culture @ 5.19
+ Who doesn't like Walmart? (that's a joke) The Walmart-Effect @ 14.05
+ To love Apple is to love Woz. iWoz: From Computer Geek to Cult Icon @ 17.13.
+ And of course: iCon Steve Jobs, the Greatest Second Act in the History of Business @ 3.79
Non-Fiction
+ Supposedly very good, from the author of Guns, Germs and Steel, and the Third Chimpanzee: Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed by Jared Diamond @ 19.77. All three of those books are must reads if you want some deeper insight into humanity.
+ If you can handle it, Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance by Noam Chomsky @ 2.60. Evidently Hugo Chavez likes this one a lot (but like most people on Chomsky, I doubt he's actually read it).
+ Someone I knew liked this one: The Physics of Superheroes @ 5.20. He's a geek though.
Outdoors & Nature
+ Al Gore's Earth in the Balance @ 3.19. People seem to like the guy now.
Cooking, Food, and Wine
+ These take about 45 minutes unless you have a su-chef to get stuff ready for you. Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals 2 @ 11.53
Arts and Photography
+ I just bought a 30D (double dell coupons and canon rebates, baby): Canon EOS Digital Rebel Digital Field Guide @ 10.82

+ Who doesn't like Calvin and Hobbes' snow art? Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons (Paperback) @ 8.76
Entertainment
+ This would be interesting: Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles.
+ Deadwood is one of my all-time favorite TV shows (which just got cancelled). Here's a little bit of history: Deadwood: Stories of the Black Hills @ 19.77
+ Geeks culture is popular these days. The Kings of New York: A Year Among the Geeks, Oddballs, and Genuises Who Make Up America's Top HighSchool Chess Team @ 15.60
+ I still kind of want to be MacGyver when I grow up. What Would MacGyver Do?: True Stories of Improvised Genius in Everyday Life @ 3.99
Did I miss any?
